SAVOGNO AND DASILE

It is this the most classic hike you can make starting directly from the camping-site. Savogno is a very typical mountain village where you can see lots of old houses very closed one to each-other and separated by narrow ways. You can reach it by a nice walk along an old muleteer with many steps. There is also a hut at the village and you can also have lunch there, of-course . Dasile is only at half an hour from Savogno, it was built on a sunny, green terrace and from there you can enjoy a nice panoramic view on the entire valley

THE ACQUAFRAGGIA LAKE

Those who want to walk longer may go on after Savogno and reach the lake where the Acquafraggia creek begins its way and forms- further below - the famous waterfall. It is a pretty long hike and it is better to start early in the morning especially during summer time because all the path receives lots of sun. You can enjoy the freshness you need beside the lake and relax in this special, lonely place.

On the other side of the valley, exactly in front to the campsite, you can follow this pleasant itinerary through the shade into the wood.

As well as the previous itineraries. you start walking from the campsite along the comunal street till to the small settlement called Scilano. The path climbs with many turns inside the shaded wood till when they open out encountering the open meadows called Monts. When you reach Pradella you meet the path coming from Uschione and going to Pian Cantone. You go and cross the Valscilano river and then you climb again untill you reach Motta. Here you start the descent that takes you to Aurogo and, with a simple easy walk, you join the way on.

BIVACCO GARZONEDO

Exactly in front of the campsite, in a lonely and wild valley called Valle Aurosina, was set in the year 2012 this new bivuac.

You can reach it by a pleasant and pretty demanding walk, leaving directly from the campsite (possible by car till Aurogo 1 km). The first part follows a path closed to the river or, optionally you may chose the easier way through Pianginedo and Motta. Once you have reached Tabiadascio you go on along the valley before you climb up with bends till the bivuac (4 hours). You can choose to return along a different way crossing the Bocchetta di Val Scilano till the beautiful Grillo lake and from there descending to the campsite walking through Pradella or Uschione (8 hour for the whole round trip)

THE ANGELOGA
CHIAVENNA HUT

This is probably the most well known mountain hike among the many possibilities you can find in the Valle Spluga (the valley from Chiavenna to Splugenpass). The hut is located by the Angeloga huts among nice alpine meadows and near a tipycal lake, all this is at the foot of the Pizzo Stella mountain. The place is quite suitable to families and children and you can reach it from Fraciscio along a mountain path in about 2 hours.

THE BERTACCHI HUT
AT EMET LAKE

It is this a rather short and not steep hike that reach one of the plenty of lakes of this region. Here, as well as at the Angeloga, you find a hut where you can have lunch or spend a night. This is also a place that is fit for families if you choose a fine and not windy day. You begin your hike from Montespluga, that is a very nice place with an artificial lake and wide alpine pasture. From this place you can start for many other interesting hikes.

ALBIGNA HUT

If you want to reach the Albigna hut it is advisable you take the small cabin block till the base of the huge wall of the dam and go on to the refuge by a short and panoramic hike. You will enjoy all the beautiful mountains around the lake. To come back it is also possible to walk through the wood, returning exactly at the point where you started.

THROUGH CASNILE PASS TRAVERSING

Those who are well prepared can go over Albigna Hut and follow this interesting excursion through the Casnile pass. You must take care expecially when you cross a snow field near the pass and some easy rocky passages along the path. Walking on the glacier is instead not difficult or dangerous and you can make it with normal trekking shoes without any particular equipment. All the hike is very panoramic and the last part goes through a wonderful landscape near the Cavloc lake. From Maloja you can return by bus to the Albigna cabin-block parking. The excursion can also be made in one day, as the first cabin is departing from 7,00 a.m. on.

With this panoramic hike you can discover a bit of Bodengo Valleys and enjoy a wonderfull view on the entire Valchiavenna.

Between Mese and Gordona you must take the Menarola street and you have to follow it till a parking just after Voga houses (from here on it's a sign that drive is not allowed).
You begin walking along the path that climb directly to Dardano and you go on orizzontaly till you cross the valley main river. After you have reached the Scima splendid view point you can continue along the ridge where a path leads to Forcola Refuge. Here you join the way to descend along the main path that takes you again to Dardano
